Lim Ai Lee

Lim Ai Lee (LAL) has been with PE Research since 2000 and is an experienced economist-statistician by training and practice. She holds a B.Sc in Statistics from the National University of Malaysia and a Master in Economics from the University of Malaya.

She has wide experience in carrying out analysis to support the various planning, policy and evaluation studies. Her strength in data analysis has provided downstream support for the various nationwide surveys that were related to policy research. She has also handled many different databases previously, e.g. DOSM Manufacturing Surveys and Censuses, DOSM Labour Force Survey, Salary and Wages Survey, New Village socio-economic databases, and etc.

She is an organised and detail-oriented manager, able to prioritise and delegate tasks effectively to ensure timely project completion within a team environment. She was the project manager in human capital development studies such as Study on Leading and Lagging Indicators for Human Capital Development Game Changers for 11th Malaysia Plan, Study on Developing Labour Market Indicators (LMIs) for Determining Critical Occupations and Imbalances in Specific Occupations, Study on Wage Structure, Study on PLWS towards a High Income Economy in Malaysia, Study on the Labour Situation in the Oil Palm Industry and Study on Skills and Competencies of Occupations in the Malaysian Labour Market.
